| Saw Nickelback, Trapt, and Default perform at the Fargodome last night. Default was pretty darn good I must say although I was disappointed in Trapt (who I went to the concert for.) Turns out Chris Brown doesn't sound very good live and performs like a super-dramatized ferry. Nickelback put on a really good show. I haven't seen a band interact with the crowd that much...ever. Plus, the stage set for Nickel was awesome, including a big screen and some other electronic show signs. They pyros were on the level of Metallica thanks to the work of the ex-pantera-pyrotechnician who does their shows now. Other highlights of the Nickelback show included them playing the intro to Pantera's "Cowboys from Hell" and doing a tribute to Dimebag Darrel. I gained a lot of respect for these guys after seeing that... Also, the drummer was on a cube that shifted out to center stage for a pretty fricken' sweet drum solo. It was a lot of fun to watch him throughout the show because you could tell he was loving every minute of it. Constantly smiling and such...Wish I could have stayed behind to get a picture with him. Pretty much the only guy I cared to get a snapshot with...
>So, after the show was done we got rear-ended in Mike's Explorer at a stop sign and slid into the guy in front of us accordingly. The douche that started the whole thing never met up with us down the road so he's gonna get a nice "Leaving the scene of an accident." Probably better than getting a DUI though, right? So anyway, dealing with the police took forever and when Bill and I finally got on the road to GF the roads were terrible. They were glare ice with snow drifts and ground blizzard conditions. I almost killed us a couple times. Nothing like careening down the interstate sideways past another car at 60+ mph. Woo Hoo! So, anyways, we got back to GF a quarter after 3 in the morning so I decided to sleep through my classes. What a night.
Well...off to go lift I go! Later guys.
| So today I went to Christian's second birthday at the Ramada. It was a lot of fun and boy that little bugger is awesome! Props to Adam and Audrey for doing a better job raising that kid than most other couples ever could! My respect for Adam is almost unexplainable...what a dude! | | |
| Well, I got my Accounting and Public Speaking finals out of the way! Introduction to Religious Inquiry Long-writing final today at 3:15 and my Macroeconomics final on Wednesday at 3:15 and then i'm done! This weekend is going to be ridiculous...I should be back in town 'roundbouts 7 or 8 pm on Wednesday. Peace. | | |
| Well, besides punching through a door, turning our apartment into a dump, and getting swastikas sharpied on my chest, Alcoholica went by without too much negative attention! If only you guys could see it right now....there are door shards layered throughout the apartment. If management saw this they would probably evict our asses!
Oh, by the way, I was the first to finish my case and undoubtedly drank more than everyone else....what a bunch of pussies!
| Alcoholica has been sheduled for Saturday, November 19 at my apartment in Grand Forks. BYOB. It's gonna be a day none of us ever forget. | | |
